It's easy to get caught up in day-to-day life, but if you realize your passion and never let go, only then will you be truly happy.

There's nothing like a good old Disney quote to get your day going!  Miracles DO happen, just not always exactly when we want them to! Patience is a virtue. Work hard, pray harder, and someday your dreams will come true!
If you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.

DC Weekend

April 19, 2014

I am overjoyed to FINALLY be on spring break! My family (minus my brother) decided to escape and take a quick trip to our nation's capital- Washington, D.C.!

Since we were only there for a few days, we crammed a lot of sightseeing into a short amount of time. We visited the capital, the Smithsonian museums, the zoo, etc.

Every busy weekend begins with a good breakfast so we grabbed a bite at Le Pain Quotien near our hotel. I had a green tea muffin with a cappuccino and everyone else had omlettes which looked just as amazing!

My sweet tooth got the best of me!! This coconut macaroon was as delicious as it was huge!

The Metro is SO much more modern and less smelly than NYC's Subways.

We also explored Georgetown and did a bit of shopping. It's the cutest area ever. DC was a great little getaway! So proud to be an American!

As girls, I think we a born with a love for gossip. I challenge myself (and my readers) to see past the immaturity and pettiness that surrounds "discussing people" and use our minds to do what they were designed to do: think!! We have so many valuable ideas in the backs of our minds, so why not get together with our girls and leave the meanness behind!?

graduation dresses

April 9, 2014

I cannot believe how fast senior year went by! It seems like just yesterday I was dedicating weekends to writing college supplements and stressing out about SAT scores. I have less than a month until I am finished classes, and before I know it, it will be graduation day (AMEN!).

With my classwork finally winding down and graduation quickly creeping up, I haven't wasted any time in my hunt for the perfect white graduation dress!

Based on the 3 dresses pictured above, I don't think its any secret that I am dying for a Lilly Pulitzer dress, but that's not to say that there aren't other, equally beautiful (and less pricey) options!

As a side-note, we are required to wear white dresses at my high school. I know some schools don't have this restriction, in which case go bold!

Here are some of my front-runners:

More affordable options:

If you're looking to make a fashionable statement:
  • Solace Ruffle-Sleeve Dress, BCBG

Congratulations to my fellow class of 2014 grads!

You can find wonder in the most unlikely of places, so search between the cracks! I had the opportunity over the summer to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit in Boston and was floored when I found out that these scrolls were hidden in caves for centuries, and were originally thought to be worthless by many who crossed their path. Never doubt that the average object holds within it a glimmer of something more.
